Your brand is everything. It’s your message, your story, how you relate and serve your clients, and relays what gifts you have to serve to the world. A brand that is congruent and genuine will build trust and set you apart in your marketplace as “the person” for your industry.
And it all begins with that initial first impression when a potential client lands on your website and sees your photos for the first time. A picture is worth a thousand words, and in the world of branding that translates to potential revenue and future business.
The Process
I’m a big fan of tailoring – whether for gowns, an exercise program, or photographs; I believe most things can be made better and more enjoyable when it’s tailored to fit your needs.
Branding sessions are customized to fit your small business’ aesthetic, message, and upcoming needs. Once you’ve booked your brand session, I’ll send over a questionnaire which I will use to do my pre-shoot research. We will also schedule your brand consultation. This is a 20 minute phone call to discuss all the fun details! We will talk about your ideas and hopes for your portraits as well as any upcoming launches, offerings, or events for me to keep in mind as I plan your session. Then we’ll discuss location, date, and time, and I’ll even give you tips on what to wear. I will also let you know if there is anything you need to bring.
I’ll then map out your shoot to best tell the story of your brand, planning the flow of your shoot from beginning to end.

On the day of your brand session we will meet at the location to take some amazing photos! We will shoot whatever your brand needs! If that is bio photos and working shots, we’ll plan time to capture those in a variety of compositions and layouts to ensure you have maximum coverage across platforms.
If you’re in need of photos for sales pages, email funnels, or online ads we’ll talk through what those launches will look like, so that I can brainstorm photos that will compliment your message and stand out on social media. You’ll leave with a thorough collection of photos suited for use across the platforms you utilize.
Every branding session is different from the last (which is part of the reason I love it so much!) – I do copious research and ask a lot of questions to make sure your photographs work for YOUR business.
Scheduling
Plan to schedule your photo session 2-4 weeks out from our initial contact. This allows enough time for collaboration, research, and location scouting. We want everything to be well planned and not rushed.
What to Wear
During our phone conversation we will discuss clothing so that you are able to prepare a variety of outfits for your shoot that will compliment your brands look and feel.
