I’ve thought through every step of the booking and planning process to make this experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. From scouting the perfect location to helping you pull together a wardrobe that feels true to you (and photographs beautifully), I’ll guide you every step of the way. You’ll always know exactly what’s next—no guessing, no confusion, just a seamless journey to your perfect portrait session. Once we pick the date, here’s what you can expect from me to make your session amazing.
You'll receive an extensive Location Guide with photos to assist you in choosing the perfect location
for your photoshoot. In addition I highlight my favorite locations for the time of year we are shooting.
A short form with a policy agreement will be delivered. Everything is online and easy to fill out.
An invoice for the deposit is delivered with the remainder due the day of the photoshoot.
Payment is done easily via credit card online. Once I receive the completed form as well as the
deposit, you are officially booked!
After you book, you will receive an email with a link to Style & Select - a great resource to help you plan out what to wear along as well as my Style Guide which provides great tips for getting ready for your shoot.
Lastly, you'll receive an email confirmation about a week before your session with exact meetup
instructions and the location address. In addition, I'll text you the morning of your shoot with a
Google maps link.
If anyone knows how much work, planning, and dare I say bribing (wink, wink)…goes into your photoshoots, it's me!

Fear not my friend! I've got you covered! First, I provide a Style/Session Guide that is full of great tips - from when to get a haircut to what color layering shirt is best under a sweater, this Style Guide provides all the answers.

A relatively new addition to the Lindsay Herkert Photo Co experience, Style & Select is an
interactive & shoppable styling resource that shows you hundreds of photo worthy tops, bottoms, dresses, and
accessories pulled in from well known retailers to give clients, like you, an easier way to figure out what to wear.
You just pick your favorites and shop from the Style Board email!
If you have something you have found online or that you love in your own closet, feel free to upload an image into
the custom upload button so you can see how it coordinates with the rest of the families' selections.
It is so easy and literally takes less than 5 minutes. You can use it for inspiration or to make purchases.

I am a lifestyle photographer, and my style is geared towards capturing real moments! This means getting you interacting rather
than posing, and having a fun time together because that is where the magic happens!
I will 100% guide you through the process!
All session locations are chosen by collaboration with you to bring your unique vision to life. I am happy to do on location or an
in-home session. There is also a great shared natural light photography studio in town that is available for rent.
Golden hour is the most beautiful light of the day and the time when all my outdoor sessions are scheduled (about 1 hour prior to sunset). I do not book any outdoor sessions mid-day, but I can book sunrise sessions if that works better with your schedule.
In-home sessions are usually scheduled in the morning before nap-time for little ones.
Studio sessions are best between 9am - 11am.
After booking, retainers are non-refundable, as I am holding the date for you and turning away other clients.
If you need to reschedule, you must notify me at least 72 hours in advance.
Rescheduling during fall & spring (my busy seasons) is extremely challenging and may result in a weekday or different season date.
If your session date gets rained out or has winds in excess of 20mph, we can reschedule for another date.
Depending on location and wind velocity, I may suggest a location change in order to
conduct your session on the scheduled date if needed.
Booking well in advance for a family session is recommended! My wait times for spring and fall season can range
from 3-5 months in advance. Session dates are booked on a first come, first serve basis and only held once a retainer
has been received. Please don't wait if you are inquiring for a fall or spring date. These go really fast!
Newborn & branding sessions are always welcome any time of year as they can be booked during weekdays too!
